Consultation Services

Contemporary Behavioral Consultant’s Staff are available to provide assistance to individual classrooms or an entire school district (or private school) to support the construction of top quality educational programs. Since a large portion of a student’s success can be attributed to schools providing quality education, it is important that school personnel providing quality behavioral intervention, including using both reactive and proactive procedures to reduce aberrant behavior, and teaching a meaningful curriculum. Our consultations are individualized to meet the needs of each classroom and each school district. School consultations often include the following components:

School Paraprofessional Services

Often, the difference between children with autism being successful in a mainstream classroom has everything to do with the quality of their supports. High functioning children with Autism or Asperger's often do not qualify for 1:1 supports, but do not have the skills necessary to be successful. CBC staff work with children in public and private classrooms to provide ABA based 1:1 intervention so that children can be successful. These supports focus on:


  • Creating a positive behavior intervention plan
  • Identifying skill deficits and barriers to being successful in the classroom
  • Working on Executive Functioning skills and increase attending and focus
  • Facilitating positive peer interactions and working on strengthening social skills
  • Creating a plan to fade to natural supports as soon as possible
